Vikram in school, in Delhi.

After school, with his friends.

Vikram doesn't go home directly after school, he goes to help his father at work.

Vikram's father irons people's clothes, in the basement of a housing complex. Vikram helps by delivering the clothes.

Back home, Vikram helps his mother with the chores. They're four living in a small 15 sq. meters room.

For his homework, Vikram can count on an old teacher who keeps an eye on him.

Vikram also helps a lot his little brother who is deaf.

On sundays, Vikram earns some money, helping other kids with mathematics. He gives half his earnings to help the family.

« In India, millions of children have to work. Vikram, 11 years old, is lucky enough to benefit from a law, forcing private schools to welcome 25% poor children.
Since he is a small kid, Vikram dreams of becoming an engineer. But his family is very poor and Vikram should work instead of studying, to help support his family. But since 2009, private schools have to welcome children from disadvantaged families.
So Vikram was able to go to school.
He spends his days studying, and helps his parents in the evening. »
