“In India, millions of children have to work. Vikram, 11 years old, is lucky enough to benefit from a law, forcing private schools to welcome 25% poor children.
Since he is a small kid, Vikram dreams of becoming an engineer. But his family is very poor and Vikram should work instead of studying, to help support his family. But since 2009, private schools have to welcome children from disadvantaged families.
So Vikram was able to go to school.
He spends his days studying, and helps his parents in the evening.”
