if there’s one thing that i feel that photography taught me and still teaches me day after day,
it’s to take people as they are,
and not as i would like them to be.

that’s also my father’s motto.
and my father taught me what he knew about photography.

i don’t think that back then, he knew that he was teaching me a lot more than just technical stuff about focus and depth of field and lenses.
he also taught me how to recognize a dozen species of butterflies.
but that’s a whole other matter.
